In the News...

Hello:

It has been a while since there has been some news. We here at Creator's Corner hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season and remained safe during this busy time of year.

Creator's Corner has reached 27. 766 visitors and we are very thankful to all of you for your support.

Due to real life stuff for the moderation staff, NewOne took some time before her due date to get things situated with the blog. Most of the staff are currently on a leave of absence until such time as they can make a full return. I myself am also on leave but due to my position, I am still needed in some ways. I had some free time, so I did a little update, don't get all excited until things get situated for me I will not be able to come back full time. ^_^

No worries though, you may have noticed that we have a couple of site helpers. Please welcome Shyne and Camille. Both Shyne and Camille have their own blogs that they maintain as well as real life, so it will become extra important for you to post your updates in the "I have something new" Forum. It is very difficult to follow a lot of blogs when you maintain work, family, and your own online stuff so it becomes important to help out as much as you can so that they are aware of your updates.

Help Wanted

Hi guys!

Sorry for the late update.

For now I'm going to do the updates for Creator's Corner.
This month probably will be the last month I can do updates for Creator's Corner and create for sims community. Soon I will be on hiatus and the reason is cause I'm expecting a baby that will due next year in January.

I really hope in the future Creator's Corner can still be a place where all creators are welcomed with their creations.

I did not want to depart Creator's Corner without saying goodbye to everyone. Real life has become very difficult and has devoured my free time to the point where I can not keep up with everything I do online. Creator's Corner is a wonderful place but I simply can not keep up with it. I leave Creator's Corner in the capable hands of Jillie, Jill, Rob, and Q-Girl until such time as NewOne can make her return.

What's in the News...

Hello:

So I have been holding off writing this for as long as I could. I wanted to keep the poll announcement up at the top so people would see it and take the time to let us know their opinions on the matter. The poll will remain up for a bit longer, so please if you have not already taken the opportunity, let us know what you think about the tutorial program. The poll is located in the sidebar but if you want more information on it you can read the previous news report here.

Congrats to Creator's Corner for reaching 12, 113 Visitors.

We have grown so much in the past month and we here at Creator's Corner feel very honored that all of you have joined us.

There has been been some restructuring of the tags. This is to make it a bit easier to find things. Hopefully this will be helpful for those looking for specific items.

Recently we got a comment about an item that needed the creator's attention. We have no control over the items posted here. It is important that if you have an issue with an item, such as it not working, that you contact the creator at their website. We can certainly let the creator know, but it is important for you and the creator to speak so that they can know exactly what is going on. This will better help them to address the issue.

The Halloween Event will be coming to an end on October 31, so if you have not submitted your entry you still have time. Do not be afraid to join in. Make a creation, take a screenshot, do up a video, just have fun with it.

There have been many wonderful chapter updates for some of our members TS3 Stories. You can find the list of stories in our Member's Gallery and Story Forum. If you would like your own story or gallery added, please leave a comment and we are more then happy to add it. If you would like your updates posted to the board you will need a display picture similar to these. If you do not consider yourself creative with paint programs, then you might try Cool Text to add a little something extra to your display pictures.

This is a first for us, we are sharing some member news.

Hogar Sims has reached 1000 visitors. Congrats Ivan.M.L.

A member of our Moderation Staff, Jill the Ripper is having all kinds of computer issues. Sadly this means that Megahood is on the backburner. Jill has been playing around with a new group of Sims on that ancient computer she is using called the Crescent Family. Stop by and check them out, give her a hug, and let her know that she is supported. We look forward to your new story Jill.

Chicago has also been suffering with some issues. She was finally able to get into game and make some new sims for a challenge called Marriage of Style. You can check out those new sims here, I adore Heinz.

Cupcake has a Generation Heir 4 poll up over at Cupcake's Bittersweet Temptations. Why not take the time to cast your vote.

Q-Girl, a promoter here at Creator's Corner, has been participating in Miss Cstyles Simmette Challenge. Why not take the time to head over to her website and check out her entry, and perhaps head over to CStyles and cast a vote for her.

In the News...Tutoring Program

Hello fellow Simmers!

I bring you this newscast on behalf of our new poll. It is located to the top right of the blog. It is regarding our up and coming Tutoring Program.  All of our Staff have been busy discussing the best way to execute it, and realized it might be easier to know what you, as a member, would want. The program is meant to help new creators. There's one thing to read a tutorial, and another to learn how to do it and that is support. As being a recently new creator myself, the main thing that helps, is support, and a real person to talk to about creating.We plan on pairing up Tutors and Pupils, based on how they teach or learn and "subject".  But there are some things we'd like to hear from you.  Would the Program be easier to navigate and run on a Blog or on a Forum?

I have already made a blog that has the basics of how it would run. It has a Registration Page, which has the Rules/Guidelines for the program, a registration form for Pupil/Tutor, and an example for both.  The page located beside that, is the Discussion Room. It is practically a page with a giant Shoutbox. Meant for any questions or general chit chat, between Pupils, Staff, and tutors. On the very bottom of the page, has the same Shoutbox as the Discussion Room. Meant for easy access. The rest of the Pages are the "Classrooms" They are all equipped with a description of the class, who is Mod, Tutor, and Pupil. They also have their own personal Shoutbox, for only the Tutor and Pupil of that class. Others may feel free to read them, but are not to post in any classroom but their own.

When it comes to the Forum choice, one has not been created, as far as I know. The way it would be set up, would be with a Welcoming Board, with Registration. Followed by a board with the different categories. Each "Classroom" would be a topic. Also meant for only Tutor and Pupil. Below that would be the General Discussion board. Where members would be able Post different topics, or comments.

In the News...

Hello:

Today is a momentous day for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that Creator's Corner has reached 9047 visitors.

The second reason is because Creator's Corner has reached 100 members. We here at Creator's Corner are very excited and we hope that all of you are as well. It is because of you that Creator's Corner has grown so fast. So please give yourself a pat on the back, some applause, and a great big thank you hug on behalf of Creator's Corner.

So what does this mean for Creator's Corner? Well our moderation staff led by our Program Coordinators, Robodl95 and Jillie are hard at work getting our programs department situated. We are discussing tutorial sessions which are in the planning stages. We hope to have more information regarding that in the coming weeks for those of you who are interested in learning some new skills or improving the ones you have.

With the continual growth of Creator's Corner the link list is getting very long. We here at Creator's Corner wanted to make certain that every member, affiliate, and link exchange had their links posted. This was becoming increasingly difficult because we are only human. One member of the moderation staff would see a banner or link and another would not. This resulted in duplicates and us rewriting each others work. It's a little funny after the fact.

If you look to the top of your screen you will notice a new Links forum. This forum houses the links and banners of all of our members, affiliates, and link exchanges as well as a complete list of all 100 members. If you do not see your link by all means contact us. If you have a link that you want us to add, perhaps you started a new blog, website, or story forum please contact us. If you have a banner that you want in the banner section, please do not be afraid to contact us. The best way to contact us is either posting your update in the I Have Something New Forum or sending an e-mail.

The Creator's Corner Halloween Spectacular is in full swing. Do not be afraid to join in, all members are welcome. This event allows you to be completely creative and submit custom content, screenshots, videos, and stand-alone stories. There is no better time to join in the fun.

On behalf of the Moderation Staff here at Creator's Corner I would like to welcome our new members. We feel very honored to have all of you with us. It is the dedication of all of our members that has allowed us to reach 8,135 visitors.

In our sidebar you may notice our link and banner list. If you do not see your banner or link posted, please by all means contact us. We do our very best to make sure that all of our members have their websites featured in our link and banner list. You can do this by posting your website link in the I Have Something New Forum.

Our Member's Gallery & Stories Forum has grown. We have added many new stories and galleries for your reading and viewing pleasure. If you have a gallery or a story you would like to have added to our Member's Gallery & Stories Forum please leave a comment in that forum with the link location of your story or gallery.

The month is moving along nicely. Please do not be afraid to check out our first Event. What's in the News? Updated!

Hello:

So there is some news with Creator's Corner now that things have settled down a bit. We would like to welcome some new members who have recently joined us. It is always nice to see new faces and we encourage you to check out our Tutorial section if you are interested in creating. The tutorial section can be found in the sidebar just under the daily updates tab.

There are benefits to being a member (following) such as participating in contest, events, and programs not to mention that your stuff is featured on our website whenever you post something new. I know that creating can be a little scary but we are a friendly group of people that will welcome your creations with open arms. So do not be afraid to give it a try, you might find that you have a passion for it.

We here at Creator's Corner do our best to watch all blogs and websites for our members though we are only human so do not be afraid to post your updates in the I have Something New forum. If you are curious about any guidelines or rules we might have you can find them in the Guidelines forum.

The Member's Gallery has gotten a face lift and is now the Member's Gallery & Story Forum. You will find all the galleries and stories that have been submitted to Creator's Corners by our members there. If you are not the type of person who has talent in creating custom content, then perhaps you might like to show off your gallery or even your stories. Do not be afraid to show off your work because there might be a fan out there just waiting to engross themselves in the pictures or stories that you are working on.

You may have noticed some more Cool Find's being posted to Creator's Corner. As positions are filled here at Creator's Corner, hunters actively search the web for any cool or interesting items they might find around the web. Cool Find's will always be labeled in its regular category as well as be labeled with the Cool Finds tag. This will distinguish it from the wonderful items of our members.

Cool Finds will never take away from the amazing work our members are doing but we will certainly post something cool or interesting if we think that all of you might enjoy it. While we actively have hunters that look for things you can play a role as well. If you stumble upon something cool or interesting that you think others might like, do not be afraid to stop by Creator's Corner and post a link to it at the Cool Find's forum.

At the top of the page you might have noticed a Halloween Banner. This banner is for our first event. We will be doing a Halloween themed event with a couple of cool rewards. If you would like to know more you should stop by and check out the Creator's Corner Halloween Spectacular.

Which brings me to the last bit of news. Please welcome our new Creator's Corner Events/Challenges/Programs Coordinator, Jillie. Jillie has joined our family and we are looking forward to all the exciting stuff she will be working on. Jillie is the mastermind behind the lovely Halloween Banner and she runs her own blog called Jillie's Sims 3 Blog. Jillie will be pulling double duty as she works as the Events/Challenges/Programs Coordinator and a hunter for the Cool Finds.

We have a recent update. We here at Creator's Corner have filled our last Program Coordinator and Hunter positions. We would like to welcome Robodl95. He has some exciting ideas for upcoming programs and we very much look forward to see what he has in store for us. Robodl95 does not mind being called Rob and he runs the Look it's a Plumbob over my Head! blog. We are very excited that he has joined the staff here at Creator's Corner.

We would also like to welcome QuileuteGirl to Creator's Corner. She has been hired on as a Promoter. Q-Girl as we call her runs The Pixel Dollhouse. She is a very kind and friendly girl who was also our first challenge winner. You may notice from her blog she loves to do challenge's and this makes her a very active part of the Sims 3 Community. Please welcome her to Creator's Corner.

In the News...

Hello:

Congratulations to Creator's Corner for reaching 7127 visitors.

Some of you may have noticed that there have been some changes to Creator's Corner and that NewOne has become rather quiet. No worries, she is still around. With a baby on the way and real life taking precedent she is focusing on what is most important until she is able to come back full time. Jill and I are here if anyone needs us so do not be afraid to contact us.

We have done some restructuring of the front page to try and make it a little more user friendly.

Challenges & Events is now combined. We will be listing the Name, Status, and Winner of those events on the Challenges & Events Page. We do have an event that will be upcoming called the Creator's Corner Halloween Spectacular. We will be releasing the information for that on the 3rd of October.

The Programs Forum has currently been removed. This is only temporary until we are able to find a program coordinator to assist with that. Which brings me to, we are hiring. We have several positions available for those that would like to join the staff here at Creator's Corner. If you are interested in knowing more, please head to the Now Hiring section.

The chat box has been moved to the front page. With ease of access we are hoping that it will get used a little more. So do not be afraid to say hello while you stop and visit Creator's Corner.

We have also begun a link exchange with various creator's around the web. Are you pretty good at finding unique and interesting items? Are you an insomniac that needs to fill up some much needed time? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then we might be looking for you!

We here at Creator's Corner have a deep passion for the game. We enjoy immersing ourselves in the Sims 3 Community and World.

Creator's Corner is also expanding daily and we are looking to bring in some fresh faced recruits willing to work hard, be friendly, and make new friends.

Positions Available

Asian, Russian, European Coordinators
The responsibility for these Coordinators is to assist members of Creator's Corner in accessing those often difficult foreign websites. He/She has to have access to these websites.

Some sites can be too complicated to navigate even with assistance. These Coordinators will be responsible for posting cool finds to Creator's Corner with links to where they can be downloaded. In some cases, an explanation of how to download will be required.
These Coordinators may at times be asked to explain or translate things for people with questions about certain foreign websites. This means these Coordinators must have a command of the English Language or be capable of using a translation program.
These Coordinators cannot to host any file on his/her website without the permission of the creator. It is however acceptable for these Coordinators to post links to the Booty, Garden of Shadows, or the Sims Cave where files are often shared freely. A link to the original creations or creator's website is also required.

Asian, Russian, European Promoters
Are you a social person? Promoters love to blog, chat on the forums, and friend people all over the Sims 3 Community. Asian, Russian, European Promoters are responsible for promoting Creator's Corner on various foreign websites.
Word of mouth is the best way to promote a website. If you are a social person who enjoys meeting knew people and frequents forums and blogs for the Sims 3 Community then you might enjoy being a promoter. Promoter's are responsible for spreading the word about Creator's Corner.
Promoter's need to have a grasp of what Creator's Corner is about and be able to explain our intentions easily to others.
They need to be friendly and helpful. They are the type of people that instantly respond to a 'help me' post with a kind word and suggestions. They are always willing to give advice to all creators to help them improve.
They have a good reputation within the Sims 3 Community.
If a Promoter sees a creator who is making some unique and interesting stuff (regardless of whether or not they would use it in their game) they should contact that creator and encourage them to stop by Creator's Corner.
Promoter's should never spam our website information.
Promoter's should always be respectful and follow the guidelines for any website they are on. If they are uncertain how to promote our website at these blogs, websites, and so on they need to make certain they contact the person in charge and ask.

Prize Creators
Prize Creators are individual's who will create and donate prizes for contest and challenges.
Prize Creators will donate a new item for contest and challenges by sending it to the moderation staff. The item can not be something previously posted anywhere else and must be completely original.
After a prize is won, it will be up to the winner to decide whether or not they wish to share it with Creator's Corner.

Requirements for All Positions
All positions require you to be friendly and polite. Creator's Corner is meant to be a cozy nook where friends gather together to share wonderful creations and meet new people. This is not a place for arguments and pettiness.
Each position also requires you to think outside your own likes and dislikes. What you like another person may dislike. You need to have an open mind about all creations and creator's and be willing to promote an item or a creator even if their creations, website, or blog is not something you personally are interested in.

Be willing to embrace all things Sims 3 and apply today if you think you have what it takes.

No personal history is necessary we just want to know about how you have established yourself within the Sims 3 Community itself, how you think you could help, and anything else you think would be good for us to know. 6081 Visits, New Forum, and Other Stuff

Hello:

Congrats goes out to Creator's Corner for reaching 6081 visits. Yay!

For those that may not have noticed we have a new forum called Member's Gallery. Do not be afraid to post a link to your Sims 3 gallery so that other members or even our shy visitors can enjoy. Everyone loves to see screenshots of sims, gameplay, artistic renditions, goofiness, and other such creativity so why not take the time to share your Sims 3 galleries with Creator's Corner.

Do not be shy, NewOne and I have embarrassed ourselves by showing off our galleries. ^_^ The rules may seem long but they are not at all complicated and just used to protect our younger visitors from seeing anything that might be objectionable.

There is still time to vote on the Create & Creativity Challenge entries. Deadline for voting is the 25th of September so if you have not voted please take the time to visit the poll in the side panel.

You may also notice we have an Introduction area called Tell Us About Yourself. I know what it is like to not say much of anything on forums, blogs, or other such venue's being that I am not much of talker. Hard to believe huh? But do not be afraid to stop by and introduce yourselves, we do not bite. Well Jill might bite a little I think. I promise, I only bite on days ending in Y. ^_^

Creator's who have joined but continue to remain a bit shy about saying you have something new, please do not be. Always feel comfortable to let us know that you have something new. We do our best to monitor our members blogs and websites but we are only human so sometimes we may miss something, we assure you it is not intentional. So please feel free to stop by I Have Something New and let us know about any updates you might have for your TS3 Machinima, Stories, and Creations.

In fact we'll have our first challenge next week.

Soon we'll announce the opening of Registration for Tutors and Non Tutors (Non Tutor is anyone who needs tutor to teach them)
Creators can sign up to be tutors but only the staff here who will make the decision who teach and who don't.
This whole process can take at least 2 weeks or so, depends on people who will register.
We will really appreciate your help if you post about this on your blog. That way more people will know and hopefully they'll be interested in our program.

Last but not least, we want all members to introduce themself in Tell Us About You.
This is very important cause we want to get all blog links (blogger and non blogger) so we can do daily update much easier.
There's some that we still don't know yet about their blog.

What's next?

Garage sale is over and we're back to our daily update with the newest and latest The Sims 3 creations from all over the world.
And we will keep doing this for weeks, months and years cause that's the only thing we want to do, right?
Sorry but the answer is wrong.

Creator's Corner will still continue with the updates but we also have plans for the future.

We as creators, will use our creativity to take risks, experiment, invent, grow and have fun. And for those reasons Creator's Corner will be here for us.

Anyway, after some discussions with some members we decided to have programs, events and challenges here at Creator's Corner.

We will start with our very first challenge soon, hopefully this week.
Everyone can join as long as they are member. It will be something fun, easy to do and there's prize for the winner.

As for Holidays, we'll have special events like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas (Advent Calendar), Valentine's Day, so on and so forth.

For program, we'll have a Tutoring Program for creator and non creator.
There will be tutors who will teach basic and advance skills in classrooms on 1 to 1 level.
This program is designed for those who never create anything but have desire to try. And it's also open for creators who want to learn skill from experienced creators.

New forums are just added like Chat Room and Tell Us About You that will be moderated with our new Mod. And we will add WCIF (Where Can I Find?) forum here as well.

Last but not least, "A community is like a ship; everyone ought to be prepared to take the helm" — Henrik Ibsen.
Everyone here is part of our community and have the opportunity to take part in. With all the plans ahead we have, let's all be supportive and get involved.
